Rosh Beit Midrash of the Community Beit Midrash
Rav Yonatan Gilbert
Rav Yonatan Gilbert serves as Rosh Beit Midrash of the Community Beit Midrash and teaches Gemara at the Fuchs Mizrachi School. He is married to Yahav, and together they have four sons: Itamar, Daniel, Michael, and Yedidia.
Rav Gilbert received semicha from the Rabbanut HaRashit LeYisrael (Israel Chief Rabbinate) and has extensive training in mental health, halachic decision-making, and counseling. His studies include training at Maagalei Hanefesh: The Center for Mental Health, Community, and Halacha; Machon Puah-Kedushat Hachaim (end-of-life halachic decisions); Machon Puah-Hadassah Medical Center (medicine and halacha); and Mishkan Shalom (mediation and conflict resolution).
He is a graduate of the Eretz Hemda Manhigut Toranit Program and an Advanced Torah Fellow with the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture. He holds postgraduate degrees in Family Therapy (ILEF), Couples Therapy (Antonio de Nebrija University), and Jewish Education (Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
Rav Gilbert is currently a participant in the Montefiore Dayanut Program.
