Welcome to the GRS Community!

We are proud to serve the Cleveland Jewish Community as the largest Modern-Orthodox and Zionist shul in the area. In addition to our own minyanim, youth programming, adult education programs, and events we partner with many local, national, and international organizations to expand our offerings.

When we built our current building, our intentions were to not only serve our membership but also to provide a community center. In this vein, we are gratified to host Bnei Akiva, Fuchs Mizrachi School, NCSY, Partners in Torah, and Yachad on a regular basis. We also work closely with the Community Beit Midrash to offer daily shiurim and opportunities for chabura learning.

Our Youth Programming is truly a jewel in the crown of Green Road Synagogue. Led by Youth Director Kimi Newmark, we offer structured Shabbat and Yom Tov programming as well as events for children and families throughout the year. Our Tot Shabbat program, led by Caroline Goldman, is also very popular as it allows toddlers and babies to have an enriching and age-appropriate experience in shul. Whether you are new to the shul or a long time member, Tot Shabbat is just the right size to provide an opportunity to socialize and meet new people.

Women are important and visible members of our shul. In addition to having a woman (Adena Klineman) serve as  our former Shul President for four years and the strong presence of women on our board and serving on committees, we offer several women's lecture series and various women's programs throughout the year. We are also pleased to have our own Yoetzet Halacha, Adina Blaustein. Adina is extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of those who reach out to her. She is also a dynamic and engaging speaker and we are lucky to be able to frequently utilize this talent.

We also have a burgeoning Men's Club for those who like to bake challah and prepare the weekly kiddush cholent. We have had several Men's Night Out events where men are given the opportunity to eat, shmooze, and ask questions to a panel of Rabbi's, led by Rabbi Blau.

We would love for you to join our kehillah! Please feel free to reach out to our Executive Director, Rachel Epstein or email the office with any questions.

We look forward to meeting you!
